From Sean Duncan at Indiana U, looks like an interesting place for people to talk about ARIS or related things. It's a bad day for me, but maybe better for some of you.
I'd like to announce and promote the workshop Allan Fowler and I are organizing at Foundations of Digital Games 2017. It's titled "Advancing STEM Education Through Game Creation" and is open for submissions.
Here's the full CfP: https://sites.google.com/view/educationworkshop2017/cfp
The deadline for submissions is May 1st.
The workshop will take place on the first day of the upcoming Foundations of Digital Games (August 14, 2017), which is hosted by Northeastern and will be held this year at Cape Cod, MA:
For the workshop, we'd love to see short papers -- empirical papers but also position papers -- that help us to envision the way forward for STEM, learning, and education with games. Presentations involving development tools are welcome as well, with a key goal for the workshop being to highlight new directions and chart new courses in STEM learning and games.
If you have any questions, please feel free to shoot me a line. I'd love to see members of the GLS community submit and attend the meeting!
