Easy hosting of HTML content

A while back there was a thread about the EASIEST way to put a few .css/.js and .html files online so folks can do custom HTML5 interactions within ARIS without a full blown web server server.

For those who have some simple methods in place, what's working for you?

I have long used Dropbox, but they recently discontinued it. It looks like Mozilla's Thimble should be everything I need and more, but I haven't tried relying on it yet.

I went with

It allows users to upload up to 1GB of static web files (css, html, js, etc) in one "site." For most ARIS users I think it would work really well. You would set up a site with subfolders for each of your projects.

I did have a few weird errors where permission was denied to certain files, but I chatted with support and they resolved it.

We are trying 2 tacks for our project as we have a need for hosting/testing customizations somewhere, and possible media storage too.

We are experimenting with 2 methods currently for external content.

1. A typical hosted site. We noticed weird ftp caching or permission behavior wiht external CSS and js files. We are currently working through those issues.

2. Some Wisconsin Tech Colleges have grant funded server space. We are currently exploring how this could work.

We were using drop box too for development and testing.

I will post information when we get more news.
