    Accessing convo/map after viewing webpage

    by dhhanrahan » Mon Jul 31, 2017 8:19 am

Hi all, I'm having a problem figuring this out. When I visit a webpage and hit the back button to return to the game it will send me back to the decoder each time. Is there a way to force the game to exit to map or a specific line without making another conversation entirely?

Im not 100% sure but I think when the game returns from visiting a web page there are 2 ways to control what is displayed.

    1. One way is to show a plaque (or other ARIS object) when the page 'has been seen' using a trigger. Furthermore in a plaque you could use ARISjs to redirect directly to a tab like the map when the page has been seen.

    2. Another way I think is to take advantage of the fact that when ARIS does not have a specific thing to show when you come back from a web page, it will show the tab that is on the top of the tab list as a default. So if you moved the Map tab to the top of the tab list, the map would become the default thing that ARIS would show when it has nothing better to do.

I'm also having this problem. Even though I have my map at the top of the list of tabs in the settings, my scanner still pops up between my webpage and the conversation that I have triggered to open once the webpage has been viewed.

I would like to be able to Javascript the webpage back button to exit to the conversation, instead of using a lock on the conversation that opens up once the webpage has been viewed. But, there doesn't seem to be a field in which I can put Javascript in the webpage editor.
